THE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIP BLUSHING

LIP BLUSHING is a 2-step treatment.
You MUST come in for your second appointment for full color EVOLUTION.

Lip color is not absolute. Ethnic background and skin undertones will have an impact on the healed results.

Everything we do today can be undone by you in aftercare. You must follow aftercare instructions.

Lip blushing uses a group of needle configurations to gently deposit pigment under the skin using a Nano shading machine.

These tiny dots create pigment coverage in the skin known as lip blushing. Lip color depends on the density of the pigment deposits and how many passes are completed with the Nano shading machine. The desired outcome is discussed with the client prior to the treatment commencing.

A second treatment can be used to adjust color density.

FULL SHADING Vs LIP LINER

The old style or the lip “tattoo” is sometimes just lip liner. The full shading of lips is best to create a lipstick effect. This helps create a natural look, especially when picking delicate neutral tones, but it also helps achieve the appearance of fuller lips. Full shading helps correct asymmetries, color irregularities, and as well as concealing small scars.

THE RESULTS OF A HEALED LIP BLUSHING TREATMENT

The results of a healed lip blushing treatment will make the skin feel cool. Something else to take into consideration after the treatment is that the color will slowly fade into the final chosen color. You must understand the following: Expect the lips to look much darker…

Expect lips to look much darker and richer in color immediately after treatment
Expect lips to look larger as they are swollen

As we age, our natural lip pigmentation can fade making lips blend in with the surrounding skin, this can make clients feel older than they are. By adding a defined outline between the surrounding skin and the lip borders, the lips can give off a more radiant and youthful look.

Initially after the treatment, the lips can appear much darker. In healing, lips colors will lighten. By adding pigment in the second treatment colors can be made richer to get the client’s final desired outcome.

In healing lip colors will lighten. This can take up to 4 weeks for the final color resolution to be known. By adding pigment on the second treatment colors can be made richer to get to the final client desired outcome.

HOW LONG WILL LIP BLUSHING LAST?

A second treatment

After 1 month, a second treatment is recommended, because it will allow results to last longer, as well as helping correct any patchiness that can occur during the healing process. Think of it as putting multiple coats of nail polish, people don’t usually apply one coat, similarly to lip blushing. The look will be more vibrant, even, and long lasting.

Staying power of lip blushing

Lip contour can last 1-2 years. Determining factors: skin condition/ type, habits, aftercare, medication, chronic diseases, and sun exposure. A touch-up is recommended after 1-1.5 years.

LIP BLUSHING TREATMENT PROCESS

The treatment commences by making an outline with a pencil that closely matches the selected color. Small adjustments will be made to conceal asymmetries, but only marginally so it still looks natural. Lip color will be tapered towards the corners.

Before Treatment

There is a very light pigment that almost blends with the skin around the lips.

Immediately After The Treatment

The lip pigment looks rich and dark. Small adjustments have been made to create symmetry.

Healed lip blushing

Added fullness throughout the lips but a soft and natural result is visible.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER

Some Safety Tips On Eating And Drinking

Will my mouth be sensitive to foods? The answer is yes. Don’t eat spicy foods.

Avoid food or drink that is very hot for up to 11 days. Smoothies and popsicles will feel soothing. Drink plenty of water as it helps prevent chapping.

AFTERCARE

This is the MOST important step! Lip blushing MUST be dabbed with damp cotton pads every 30 minutes for the 1st day to reduce lymph crust formation. A crust should be avoided as it will remove pigment and reduce the pigment taking in the skin.

Day 1 – Clean the lips every 30 minutes using damp cotton pads

Must remove lymph to reduce crusting

Day 2-7 – Clean the lips every 2-3 hours using damp cotton pads

If there is extreme lip tension or dryness a very thin film of vitamin A & D can be applied.

Mornings ONLY! – Lips can be washed with soap provided

Wash delicately being careful not to scrape the lip pigment in any way. Dab with a clean dry towel or paper towel to dry

AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 7 DAYS…

• Excessive sweating
• Using a tanning bed
• Swimming in public waters
• Using any kind of makeup on your lips

AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 4 TO 8 WEEKS……

• Abrasive facial treatments such as:
Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and laser treatments.
• Topical creams with retinol acids, etc…

YOU WILL RETURN FOR YOUR SECOND TREATMENT IN 4-8 WEEKS AND GO THROUGH THE HEALING AGAIN.

WE SAY AGAIN:

DO NOT USE RETINOL
(ON YOUR LIPS)
AS THEY WILL FADE 5 X FASTER

RETINOL AND RETIN-A PRODUCTS WILL REDUCE YOUR LIP BLUSHING LIFE TO 1/5 OF THE TIME.
